Assessments and Screenings
1. What types of assessments do you provide?
We offer IQ testing, Educational Assessmets autism screening, ADHD evaluations, dyslexia /dysgraphia testing, and executive functioning assessments for children and adults.

2. What is the difference between IQ testing and educational testing?
IQ testing measures a person’s intellectual abilities, including problem-solving, reasoning, memory, and overall cognitive potential. It provides an understanding of how a child learns and processes information. On the other hand, educational testing evaluates a child's academic skills, such as reading, writing, spelling, and mathematics, identifying specific strengths and weaknesses in their learning.

While IQ testing focuses on general cognitive abilities, educational testing provides insight into how these abilities translate into academic performance. For a comprehensive understanding of a child’s needs, these assessments should ideally be done together. Combining IQ and educational testing allows for a more accurate and thorough evaluation, helping to identify any discrepancies between potential and actual performance and informing targeted interventions or accommodations.

3. How long does an assessment take, and what does it involve?
Assessments typically take 1-3 hours and include standardized tests, observations, and discussions with parents.

4. Are your assessments valid for workplace or academic accommodations?
Yes, our assessments are comprehensive and designed to meet requirements for accommodations. We work alongside psychiatrists at various clinics to ensure they are accepted.

5. What should I bring to my child’s assessment session?
Please bring any previous reports, medical records, or schoolwork that might provide insights into your child’s needs.
